Daycare Enrollment Checklist

Is your child ready for daycare? With spring coming, it's essential to have your daycare enrollment checklist prepared to ensure a smooth transition for both your child and the daycare. Here's what you need to consider when preparing for your child's enrollment:

Paperwork Completion

Once you have decided to enroll your child in Learning as We Grow Childcare and Preschool, the next step is to fill out all necessary paperwork.  This includes enrollment forms, emergency contact forms, medical consent forms, and other permission forms. Once you've completed the paperwork, confirm the start date, and the number of days your child will be attending, and make any necessary payments. You may also want to schedule pre-visits to help your child adjust to the classroom.

Ready, Set, Grow: Steps for a Stress-Free First Day

Depending on your child's age, you will need to bring different items on their first day. All children will need the required paperwork, sunscreen, a change of clothes, and a family photo. Infants and toddlers will also need breastmilk, formula, bottles, and labeled food items. Diapers, wipes, powders, and ointments should also be labeled and provided. Toddlers and school-aged children will need naptime items, such as a cot sheet, a favorite blanket, a pillow, or a stuffed animal.
